How to share full TikTok on Instagram Story
Chances are, whether you’re a company, or just a content creator, Sticking to one single social media platform means that you’re not taking the full advantage of your social presence and you’re missing out on a lot of potential audience that you can engage with simply by posting the same piece of content on a different social media platform.
This is exactly why you might have seen TikTokers post their TikToks as Instagram reels or stories or YouTube Shorts and today, we’re going to talk about how you can post your TikTok content on Instagram.
One of the first things where you might’ve seen people post their TikToks is on Instagram Stories.
Stories is a feature that was first brought up by Snapchat but was then adopted by Facebook and Instagram.
Stories can have images or videos that are available for 24 hours.
Stories are a great way to showcase your TikToks on Instagram.
To share a TikTok to your Instagram story
● Open the TikTok app and find the TikTok you want to share to your story
● Tap the three dots on the top right corner and tap share.
● From there, select Instagram, and then select Story.
● Your video will be added to your story.
Another way is to simply download your TikTok as a video and post it on stories through the Instagram app.
In case you’re using someone else’s TikTok, make sure that you have permission to do so from the original creator and make sure to credit them where credit is due.
Why does Instagram Story Cut off TikTok?
Stories are set to a limit of 15 seconds.
Whether it’s an image or a video, it will only be displayed on a story for 15 seconds. If the length of your TikTok is more than 15 seconds, it will be cut short by the Story.
And with TikTok increasing its video length limit from 1 min to 3 mins and recently, to 10 mins.
There are chances that the TikTok video will be longer than an Instagram story.
There is a way to overcome this however, which involves cutting up a longer TikTok to 15 second clips and then uploading them to stories in Chronological Order.
Thankfully, Instagram does that automatically when you try uploading a video longer than 15 seconds to a story.
How do you Post full length TikTok to Instagram
But what if you don’t want to chop your video into 15 second clips?
The answer to that is Instagram Reels.
To summarize in short, Instagram Reels is basically Instagram’s answer to the 30 sec – 1 min video sharing format that is the foundation of what TikTok is as a social media platform.
Reels can currently be anywhere between a couple seconds to 1 min long, with Instagram testing about increasing the length to 1.5 mins or 90 seconds. And that makes reels a great way to post full length TikToks to your Instagram without having to chop it up.
To post a TikTok to Instagram Reels
First, download the TikTok without the watermark.
This step is necessary as Instagram doesn’t encourage uploading videos to Instagram reels with the TikTok watermark on.
In case you do upload a video with the watermark, there are chances that it will be taken down or it will get reduced impressions and recommendations.
That’s why we recommend downloading the TikTok without the watermark. To do so,
Copy the link to the TikTok that you want to download and paste it on SSSTok or TT Downloader and choose the option to download “without watermark”.
Then Simply head over to the Instagram app, tap the Plus (+) Icon in the top right corner, click on Reel and select the video you want to upload.
But what if the TikTok is even longer, like 3 mins or so? Instagram has another option for you, IGTV.
One can upload videos of length anywhere between 1 min to 15 mins from a mobile device and even up to 60 mins when uploading from the web.
This makes it so that no matter what length your TikTok video is, you can still upload it to Instagram. And if you’re looking for more followers on your Instagram or your TikTok? Buy Genuine Instagram followers, likes and comments or TikTok fans and likes Now!
