How do I repost videos on TikTok?
If there is any demographic cohort, globally speaking, that has perhaps had the best run with the technological innovations and inventions, it’s the Gen-Z, or Zoomers, as they are known colloquially.
Be it the Silicon Valley boom the world witnessed or the popping-up of inanely popular social media apps and platforms, Gen-Z inarguably has had the best of both.
And, without a smidgen of doubt, the Zoomers have by and large been immensely successful in cashing in on the tech zoom & boom.
Among the plethora of social media platforms and apps that have been propping up onto the scenes, I believe TikTok deserves and commands a special mention and limelight among the various options. An immensely popular short-form video sharing app.
TikTok emerged on the scene in 2017 beyond mainland China. However, the app had a global release in the year 2018.
TikTok isn’t restricted to a specific demographic anymore(read Gen-Z).
Users across all demographics are involved, and it would be fair to say addicted to this app with a gargantuan appetite for users and content.
I, personally, tried my best to ignore the hype of this insanely boisterous social media app but had to eventually give in to the chaotic mirage that is TikTok.
TikTokers, as the users of the app are often referred to, have gone on to become celebrities and stars of the social media universe.
Turning a common Jack into a celebrity, of sorts, is where TikTok intensely competes with other such platforms.
And, more than often succeeds, too.
After all, who doesn’t want to ride the bandwagon that is pompous, loud, exhilarating and too much fun?
TikTok has evolved effortlessly into the most nascent entertainment platform.
A platform with overabundance of videos which sometimes make much more sense than hour-long movies and make one gag with laughter.
TikTok does it all!
And, sometimes we wish to have some of these videos on our timeline, which was only possible earlier by downloading the said video and uploading it on the platform, which was not only hectic but inefficient too and could also risk infringement claims from the maker.
TikTok ended up being the much-needed fix to this unnecessary headache.
Can videos be reposted on TikTok?
Yes! Congrats to the entertainment rabbit hole dwellers. Now you can, and is that not a treat?
Let the thumbs twitch, the Twitter of short videos has arrived. Earlier it may not have been possible to repost videos.
A mind boggling inconvenience, I know! Anyway, the fix is here to let users interact with the platform and the content better than the now ancient practice of downloading videos and re-sharing(trying my hand at coining new phrases).
The reposting feature comes with the added and desirable characteristic of expanding the audience base of the creator(s).
Pretty much a win-win situation, wouldn’t you agree?
But how do I repost other creators’ videos?
It is rather simple. All one has to do to repost any video(s) they like, to the extent of gratification, is to follow a few simple steps:
Found a clip you want to share with your friends and followers? Good! Tap on the ‘Share’ button in the bottom right-hand corner.
Now, access the ‘Send to’ bar. There you can see the new ‘Repost’ option that appears next to your contacts. Tap on it.
A “reposted” confirmation will appear on your screen, confirming the video having been reposted.
And what’s more, you can add a caption of your own to lend it a personal touch.
But I’m unable to repost a video. What to do?
Well, that is a genuine concern and needs to be dealt with clear indications as to how and why you aren’t able to repost any kind of video which you so desire to share.
A lot of users find themselves unable to repost what every other user can and goes through FOMO.
The reason for this discrimination is simple and one of logistics.
TikTok has rolled out Repost as a beta feature on its app which hasn’t been rolled out to all of its users yet and is accessible to some and not to some.
Unfortunate souls, I agree.
Perhaps the algorithm hasn’t worked its way to you yet. Patience. It will get to you too, soon.
There is nothing you can do about it if you aren’t yet able to access the Repost feature on TikTok.
Most of the users can repost now, your turn will be soon too.
Hate it or love it, TikTok has become kind of an integral part of our lives and how we socialise with others, even though it’s all virtual.
It’s here to stay. Unless something else which is pathbreaking comes along.
Till then, have fun with it.Thank you for reading until the end. You can learn more cool social media hacks at eazysmm.com/blogs
