YouTube Sponsorships: How to Get Sponsored as a Small YouTuber

If you own a small YouTube channel, it may seem like you can’t get sponsored on YouTube until you grow a big audience.

But don’t worry. You can still get a juicy brand deal to make money with your YouTube channel. Today we are going to be talking all about YouTube brand deals for small channels. Don’t miss out on this information! It could change the way you approach sponsorships.

How Many Subscribers Do You Need to Get Sponsored on YouTube?

When you’re a nano or micro-influencer you’re in the most vulnerable position in your career because you just lack experience on brand deals.

[Side note] If you have anything between 1,000-10,000 subscribers you’re a nano-influencer. On the other hand, if you have between 10,000-50,000 subscribers consider yourself a micro-influencer.

Many businesses can take advantage of you if you don’t know how to approach them the right way.

And at this point, you probably also don’t have a network of other content creators to go for advice and to rely on for support.

This type of advice of someone who knows better can help you to make substantially more money on your brand deals. Be aware of these things in your search for sponsorships.

With that out of the way, there isn’t a defined number of subscribers you need to have before pitching to brands to get sponsorships.

As we are going to discuss, you don’t necessarily have to have a huge following, but if your follower count it’s too little, brands may ignore you.

If that’s your case, consider buying real, organic YouTube subscribers to kickstart your journey of money-making on YouTube.

Think Like a Business Owner

You may believe that’s almost impossible to get a brand deal at this point in your YouTube career, but that’s not true!

With the popularity of influencer marketing increasing more and more with each passing day, the possibility of getting brand deals is high, even with a small channel.

The size of your audience isn’t the only factor that brands look for anymore.

Although to do it successfully, you need to take your YouTube channel seriously and act like a business owner. Don’t undersell yourself. But, how to price your channel when you perceive your value as small, based only on your audience’s size? Let’s shift your mindset.

youtube partnerships

Audience Size Is NOT The Only Thing That Matters

Sure: influence comes first, income comes second.

But influence in the form of huge audiences isn’t the only thing brands are looking for nowadays.

What’s your influence? Think about this long and hard.

If you’re an aspiring influencer or a lifestyle entrepreneur, or someone looking to build a personal brand, bundle your influences in the offering you pitch to brands.

Have you built influence on other platforms, besides YouTube? Maybe you have an email list? Have you made other digital marketing collaborations or partnerships? Use that to your advantage.

The Power of High-Quality Content

Another way of making money from brand deals isn’t by the influence you have but by your ability to produce content and creatives.

Audience size indeed attracts brands, but what also attracts them is high-quality content.

Go to brands in your niche and look at their social media posts and the content on their website to evaluate the type and quality of their content.

Now, look at the content of influencers in the same niche.

Can you do content at the same level? Could your content potentially communicate what that brand needs to communicate at the same, or (even better) quality?

Brands commonly use snippets of YouTubers’ product reviews, for example, in their ads campaigns. It’s a common practice, but the video has to be very high-quality and be a reflection of the brand’s values.

Are you making high enough quality work to get the attention of a brand and deserve to represent that brand? How can you improve your content?

If your work is too good to ignore, you will be noticed!

Brands want people that share the same values, that can become spokespersons of that brand. They want brand advocates and ambassadors.

Does your content embrace the lifestyle that the brand represents?

Engagement Is More Important That Subscribers Count

It’s not about the size of your following, it’s more about the engagement that following has with you and our content.

Can you demonstrate that when you talk about a brand, product, or anything you’re doing, people will engage with it?

Do people follow your recommendations?

If not, brands will see no value in your channel. People have to be emotionally committed to the things you recommend in your channel. That is what makes you valuable to a brand.

You have to create a reason, besides your follower count (especially if that isn’t your strength right now), and put it in front of those brands you desire to work with. Make sure your content is high-quality enough, that you have a clean and professional social media presence, and that your aesthetic is aligned with the brands you approach.

Now, Let’s Get to Work!

Let’s tie all of this together with a practical exercise.

To begin, make a list of at least 50-100 brands you’d like to work with.

Then, make a mood board on Pinterest or wherever you choose. The lifestyle you portray on social media will make you a good fit for these brands, based on their aesthetic?

If not, readjust. Choose other brands, truly aligned with your personality and values.

As we said earlier, the content, how you dress, and the aesthetic in general, have to be aligned with what the brands you aspire to work with want to communicate.

Lastly, start to create content and build a relationship with these brands. Make product reviews, tag the brands on social media, reply to their posts early with a meaningful comment… In short: make yourself visible.

When you eventually talk to them to build a business relationship and close a brand deal, you will not be coming out of the blue.

Pitch Time

Now that you have the basics covered, you can start to think about your pitches.

Craft a compelling pitch to send to the brands on your list. Your pitch should amplify your channel’s strengths.

How? Well, it has to express that your channel attracts the exact ideal audience that the brand is looking for, and solves a specific problem that audience has (so they will listen to you and your recommendations).

Make it personalized for each brand, this is what will determine your success rate.

Nobody likes to receive a copy-pasted template! I can’t stress this enough.

And, probably the least glamorous part of all this: send emails every day until you get an answer.

You will be rejected, so don’t sweat about it. It is part of the process.

For each brand that rejects you, you are closer to encountering a brand that’s a perfect fit for you.

pitching a youtube collaboration

As you probably realized by now, you don’t necessarily have to have a huge following to get brand deals.

Nowadays, more important than reach is the community you build around your YouTube channel.

Brands prefer to work with rather small influencers that may not have a huge following, but the following they do have is engaged and follow the influencer’s recommendations.

Another conclusion of this post is that the brands you pitch have to be aligned with your style, aesthetic, values, and personality.

To be a good fit for a brand, you promoting their product has to make sense according to your audience and niche.

And lastly, don’t forget to hustle and send personalized pitches until you get an answer!

If your YouTube channel is really small at the moment and you don’t have a community build yet, consider purchasing real, organic YouTube subscribers to grow your channel and kickstart the journey of making money on YouTube.

How to Come Up with YouTube Video Ideas: 7 Tactics to Find Proven Topics

No matter your niche, sometimes it can be difficult to come up with new content ideas for YouTube.

You feel like everything is already out there, and nothing you create can be original anymore. This is partially true, but what matters it’s not the originality of the idea, but the originality of the execution and the uniqueness of your point of view.

And to be honest, there is an unlimited amount of ideas to make videos about. You just have to find them.

In today’s post, we show you the most effective methods to research content ideas for your YouTube channel. Give this a try, and you will never run out of video ideas for YouTube!

The Right Mindset to (Strategically) Search Proven Topics for YouTube

It’s crucial that you enter onto this whole find video ideas thing with the right mindset.

To build a successful YouTube channel, you can’t simply press record and start filming whatever it’s on top of your head.

You have to plan, schedule, and outline your YouTube videos ahead of time.

Research allows you to increment views: simply because your channel’s videos will be strategic, featuring proven ideas that people are actually searching for.

Did you know that a billion hours of YouTube videos are watched per day? That’s a lot of video consumption!

youtube in numbers

If you don’t notice success on your channel just yet, then the problem probably isn’t that the market for your videos is non-existent or over-saturated.

The problem may be your videos’ topics.

You have to make the right videos and be talking about the right topics.

This is the only way to stand out. To come up with video ideas that actually get views is the only way to help you grow your YouTube channel.

So, the lesson is to make sure to research before you press record.

Ask yourself: Is this a good video idea for my audience, or not? Do my people care about this topic? These questions will help you to figure out what videos to make next.

Because in the end, those creators who understand their viewers better, win.

7 Tactics to Find Proven Topics for YouTube Videos

YouTube Autocomplete

The first method we are going to discuss can be found inside YouTube itself.

YouTube’s search bar has a huge (but subtle) superpower: it tells you exactly the topics people are searching for.

Try it right now! Start typing your channel’s niche or topic of interest in YouTube’s search bar. It will begin to show you searches related to that query.

Those are actual things humans are typing in the search bar to find YouTube videos, and because of that, they are proven topics.

#Bonus Tip: put extra spaces after your search terms to go deeper and find more video ideas. Let’s see an example: say we have a channel in the social media niche. We want to make a video about methods to grow an Instagram account. We can start typing ‘how to get Instagram followers’ and see what YouTube suggests to us:

youtube autocomplete

Based on these results, we can assume that people are interested to know how to get Instagram followers ‘for free’, ‘fast’, ‘in 2021’, and also ‘how to get likes’.

All of those ideas appear from a simple search. Repeat this method with other topics related to your niche and see what you found.

Trending Channels And Videos

Another never-ending source of inspiration are channels and videos from other creators.

Search topics that are relevant to your niche and look at the videos and channels that pop up.

Those channels and videos are probably being watched by your subscribers as well, and it can’t hurt you to browse popular content in your niche to see if your channel is missing out on something.

When you find a popular channel in your niche, go to their videos and sort them by their most popular uploads. What are the videos with more views, and why?

Try to understand what appeals to viewers in your niche. That will help you to come up with relevant ideas.

Continuing with our example from before, in the social media niche, a popular one is Vanessa Lau’s channel. For our search ‘how to get Instagram followers’, one of her videos pops up. When we go to her channel and sort her videos to see the most popular ones, this is what we found:

trending images and videos

Almost all her most popular videos are about Instagram. You can see clearly what are the most searched topics: how to gain Instagram followers, how to get the swipe-up feature, how to get more likes, how to grow an account from scratch, how to write an Instagram bio, etc.

That tells us what people in this niche are interested in.

Obviously, we don’t recommend you to copy another channel’s videos, but it can be a good exercise to find new topics if you’re stuck.

TubeBuddy is a tool that integrates with YouTube and offers an extensive list of features to help YouTube channels succeed.

This tool can assist you on all stages of your YouTube journey.

It has a keyword research tool to find video ideas, a feature to help you publish your videos quickly and effectively, an optimizer tool to ensure you get better rankings, and it also helps you with video promotion and even with A/B testing.

For our current purposes, we are going to focus on Keyword Explorer, TubeBuddy’s keyword research tool. Once you install the extension in your browser, go to YouTube Studio and click on the TubeBuddy icon on the top right corner. It will look something like this:

tube buddy interface

Now, click on ‘Keyword Explorer’ and type your desired topic to see all the data. We are going to type our search from earlier, ‘how to get Instagram followers’.

keyword explorer interface

You can see here that the ‘Overall Score’ for our keyword is high. Below you can see why: it has high search volume and medium competition.

Make videos including keywords with a green Overall Score to have better chances to rank.

In the ‘Related Searches’ section, you can explore more keyword ideas. Click on each one to analyze them individually and make an informed decision on which ones to target.

Above that section, you will find four tabs. ‘YouTube’ and ‘Google’ show you how the interest in that keyword has changed over time.

On the other end, ‘Video Topics’ and ‘Common Tags’ provide you with even more keyword ideas to make videos about.

This is another YouTube-specific tool that also offers several features to improve your chances of success in YouTube.

VidIQ is a powerful ally to research keywords related to your channel’s niche. Once you have an account, you can find the Keyword Research Tool on the ‘Keywords’ tab.

#Bonus Tip: next to the ‘Keyword’ tab is the ‘Daily Ideas’ tab. Here you can find new video ideas every day, according to your channel’s niche.

vidiq interface

Here we used, once again, our search term ‘how to get Instagram followers’. The tool provides related keywords, including their search volume and competition.

VidIQ gives you an ‘Overall Score’, the same as TubeBuddy, that tells you if it’s viable to target that keyword and rank for it.

Remember that a high Overall Score reflects low competition and high search volume, the best combination for ranking videos on YouTube. Anything over 40 is good.

In summary, the closer the Overall Score number is to 100, the higher the possibility to get views and rank for these key phrases.

Therefore, VidIQ not only gives you keyword ideas but also supplies the data to choose between the best.

The tool also shows you trending videos for the keywords you research, which gives you even more video ideas.

With the browser extension installed, you can search keywords directly from YouTube with VidIQ’s ‘Keyword Inspector’.

vidiq options

Sort this list by Overall Score to target the highest performing keywords.

Another useful feature is the ‘Trending’ tab you can find every time you visit a YouTube channel. It shows you the videos on that channel with the highest views per hour.

Next to ‘Trending’ is the ‘Stats’ tab, where you can see useful statistics about your competitor’s channels.

brian dean youtube channel

In this example, some videos were uploaded years ago, while others were uploaded months or even days ago.

The older and more viewed videos on this channel cover ‘how to get more views on YouTube’ and ‘YouTube SEO’, and are 3 and 4 years old, respectively.

What do older videos with higher views per hour tell you? Basically, that those videos are ranking well and discuss a topic that many people search for, even after years.

And people tend to prefer up-to-date videos, so they might favor a newer video over another that’s multiple years old (here’s an opportunity for you to take advantage of!).

By studying your competitors in this way, you can make a related, newer video on a proven topic you know people are actually searching for.

Although VidIQ’s features are pretty limited in the free version, it’s a nice tool to try.

Note that sometimes the results from VidIQ and TubeBuddy can differ a little bit (as with every SEO tool). It’s a good practice to run your ideas on multiple tools to make sure you are targeting the right keywords.

Answer The Public

Answer The Public is a platform that allows you to examine questions people make about topics related to your niche.

Besides giving you video ideas and related keywords, this tool can help you to outline your videos.

answer the public interface

Introduce your niche or a related topic in the search bar. It will give you a graphic with questions related to those keywords, that will look something like this:

answer the public results

If we made a video on that topic, the outline can come naturally from these questions.

This will ensure our script cover topics people are interested in, and they will find our video very valuable and relevant if we answer what they need.

Below ‘Questions’, you also have graphics with ‘Prepositions’ and ‘Comparisons’ that come from the keywords you entered on the search bar earlier. On the bottom, you also have a section with related keywords to find even more content ideas.

Google Keyword Planner

Google’s Keyword Planner is a keyword research tool (completely free to use) built into Google’s advertising system. To use it, first you need to have a Google Ads account.

Once you have it, log in. You can find Keyword Planner on the dashboard:

answer the public results

Similar to the tools we used earlier, Google shows you ‘Average Monthly Searches’ and ‘Competition’ data for the keywords you entered on the search bar, and for the additional related keywords.

Try to aim for keywords with at least 5,000-10,000 searches per month.

But it depends on the niche as well, so as a general rule, stick to keywords with low competition and high search volume.

You can sort the table of related keywords that Keyword Planner shows you by clicking on ‘Avg. Monthly Searches’ or on ‘Competition.

Here we sort it by Avg. Monthly Searches to view keywords with the highest search volume first:

keyword planner dashboard

This tool can help you not only to find new video ideas but also to validate your keywords by knowing if they are worth pursuing or not. This data comes from Google, not from YouTube. But many views on YouTube videos come from Google searches, and YouTube is owned by Google anyways.

Extra SEO tools

By now, you surely recognize this post’s main point: to find content ideas and proven topics (those that can get you the views required to exponentially grow your channel) it’s necessary to research first.

Basically, keyword research helps you to make videos that people will be searching for, without guessing involved.

There are many, many keyword research tools out there.

Some are completely free, like Keyword Tool.

And others have a limited free version, like Ubersuggest, SEMRush, and KWFinder.

AhRefs is an excellent option too and extremely well-known in the SEO world, but not even the trial it’s free.

All of these keyword research tools are similar to the options we discussed above.

You can input search terms relevant to your niche and the tools will tell you which keywords are performing better based on search volume and competition.

Another very useful feature of these tools is to analyze URLs from popular websites in your niche.

You can see the most visited pages or blog posts of those websites, giving you (hopefully) new video ideas and topics you can cover on your YouTube channel.

If you want to learn specific SEO techniques for YouTube, check out our blog post on YouTube SEO.

Now that you are loaded with several methods to find keywords and content ideas, you can begin to make videos non-stop for your YouTube channel.

Make sure to organize all of those ideas in a document to refer to later, so you don’t have to research every time you want to make a video.

And before writing down your ideas, analyze them. Look at the keywords with higher search volume and low competition and take notes. You can use them in your title, description, and tags to improve your ranking.

YouTube Channel Monetization: How to Get 4,000 Watch Hours and 1,000 Subscribers FAST!

Monetizing a brand new YouTube channel doesn’t have to be difficult.

If you’re starting out as a youtuber, today you will discover all you need to know to enable monetization quickly on a YouTube channel

Particularly, we are going to cover how to reach that 4,000 watch hours and 1,000 subscribers mark that sets you apart from making money on YouTube.

Getting the firsts subscribers and views needed to join the YouTube Partner Program can be very daunting and time-consuming, but don’t let that gets in your way. Read below to learn how to do it ASAP!

playing youtube on mobile phone

How to make money on YouTube

There are several ways to make money from a YouTube channel, including brand sponsorships, donations from your viewers, affiliate marketing, and even by selling your products and services through the platform.

However, one of the most popular ways to make money on YouTube is by joining the YouTube Partner Program

Joining the YPP means that you will be making money from Google AdSense, showing ads in your videos.

You are totally in control of how many ads you show, where on the video you show them, the format of the ads (skippable, non-skippable, bumper, or overlay), and even if you show ads in the first place.

The formula is simple: more views equals more money (because a higher number of people will be seeing the ads).

All the creators who have joined the YPP have other options (besides ads) to monetize their channels. But you can’t monetize your channel through the YouTube Partner Program right away. First, you need to meet certain criteria.

YouTube Monetization Requirements

First and foremost, the most crucial requirement: you must have at least 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 watch hours in the last 12 months to monetize your YouTube channel.

Second, your channel will be reviewed by YouTube to judge if it’s eligible to join the program.

Make sure (before you send the request) that your account is compliant with YouTube’s policies and content guidelines. And third… There’s no third! That’s it. Those were all the requirements you need to satisfy to successfully monetize your YouTube channel and start making money from YouTube.

What Are Watch Hours on YouTube?

Simply put, watch hours are the number of hours people spend watching your content.

To monetize your channel you need to have at least 4,000 watch hours and 1,000 subscribers, as we said early.

Here we are going to focus solely on raising watch hours, assuming that if you increase your watch hours, your subscriber count will naturally grow as well.

What Are Public Watch Hours on YouTube?

When we say that you need to reach a minimum 4,000 watch hours threshold to monetize your channel, we mean 4,000 public watch hours.

But what does it mean?

It means that your watch hours must come from public videos.

Thus, if you publish a video and you later set it to private, the watch hours on that video will not count.

Furthermore, you can’t make a livestream and then set it as unlisted, because again, those watch hours will not count.

The Math Behind Monetization Requirements

Let’s explore exactly what will take to monetize your YouTube channel.

Average view duration is a metric that measures the amount of time watched from a video before people begin to leave.

Why is that important?

Because it tells you exactly which videos your audience likes (which videos they spend time seeing and want to see more of). If you focus on making more videos that they like (relevant, engaging content for your specific niche) your average view duration will rise and so will your watch hours.

(Side note: I recommend your videos to be around 8-12 minutes. That’s because after 8 minutes, you can show an ad mid-roll and that means more potential money). Stick with me here: so you need 1,000 subscribers AND 4,000 watch hours (240,000 minutes) to monetize your YouTube channel.

Assuming an average 1% conversion rate, you will get 1,000 subscribers every 100,000 views

And assuming a 30-50% retention rate (less than the average 50-60%) in a video that’s about 8-12 minutes long, you will have a 3-4 minute average view duration

So, you need 100,000 people to view around 3 min of your videos to reach 300,000 minutes of watch time, surpassing your 4,000 watch hours threshold.

And assuming the 1% conversion rate defined above, that 100,000 views will make 1,000 subscribers. But the views you get are extremely low at the beginning.

The time it’s going to take you to met YouTube’s monetization requirements will depend on different factors, such as your channel’s niche, the quality of your videos, and the number of videos you publish on any given month.

It can take you from 2 months to a year+ of consistent publishing to reach monetization requirements and join the Youtube Partner Program…

How to Get YouTube Watch Hours

As a general rule, if you are in a not-so-boring niche and if you publish consistently a ton of very high-quality videos, your channel will grow pretty fast.

It all comes down to your ability to keep people watching your content.

To get YouTube watch hours and subscribers quickly, here’s the only thing you need to remember: Build an engaged audience and community with relevant, high-quality content. That’s it.

If you make that your primary focus and don’t get distracted, your channel will grow naturally over time.

Think about your niche and what people in that niche would like to see. Find proven topics for your videos and create relevant and unique content around them.

Finally, don’t lose that consistency. Try to produce the highest amount of videos WITHOUT losing quality.

More videos equal more potential views. Therefore, your capability to reach quickly the 4,000 watch hours threshold increases.

But remember: never sacrifice quality! It is a crucial factor to succeed in YouTube these days, among all the channels competing with yours.

Can you buy Youtube subscribers and watch hours?

Yes, you totally can!

Nowadays it is a very common practice among new YouTubers

The truth is, it can be very discouraging putting all that effort to create content that nobody cares about, and receiving zero compensation for it.

When you buy 4,000 watch hours and 1,000 subscribers, or whatever number you need to reach the monetization requirements, that means your channel can be monetized right away

Because getting that first subscribers and views is the most difficult part of growing a YouTube channel, buying what you need will help you kickstart the whole process.

Let someone else do the work for you so you can focus on what you do best: creating amazing content that people love to consume.

For most YouTubers, monetizing their channels is a must. Creating videos takes a long time, and compensation makes it possible for them to keep producing content

But for new YouTubers, meeting the monetization criteria can take up to a year (and maybe even more).

Getting your firsts views and subscribers is the most difficult part, once you get there the ball keeps rolling and your channel grows exponentially.

If you want to monetize right away and start making money with your first videos, buying watch hours and subscribers may be the best option for you.

Check our pack of 100% real and organic 4,000 watch hours and 1,000 subscribers. You will receive them within 1-2 weeks, with guaranteed satisfaction or a money refund.

You are a click away to monetize your YouTube channel.

How Much Does It Cost to Buy a YouTube Channel?

So you want to start a YouTube channel, but you can’t help but wonder…

Is it even worth it to start from scratch in 2021?

How much does a monetized YouTube channel cost?

Can I purchase a YouTube channel legally?

If you are passionate about a certain topic or niche and want to start a YouTube channel, let me tell you: there is no better time than today.

But what if you could start with a little push to help you kickstart the long process of building a YouTube channel?

Well, luckily, you can! And today we are going to cover exactly that.Stick around to find out how to buy a monetized YouTube channel that allows you to make money from day one and spares you the struggle of getting your first subscribers and views from scratch.

girl showing her youtube channel

Is it worth having a YouTube channel?

You might or might not know that having a YouTube channel is a lot of effort. I won’t sugarcoat it: planning, scripting, filming, and editing videos consistently is hard work.

But here are some facts: YouTube is the second most visited website on the entire planet and the second most used social media network.

And if you think about it, with the experience of the pandemic the number of people that watch YouTube videos increased tremendously.

Furthermore, most millennials and later generations don’t subscribe to a pay-TV service anymore and replaced their TV consumption with YouTube videos.

That gives you a huge opportunity to reach your desired audience and grow your business.

With 2.3 billion users across the globe, if you want to expand your reach and scale your business, a YouTube channel is a must!

To be honest, starting a YouTube channel doesn’t guarantee you anything. It is a bit of a risk, but if you are passionate about your niche and enjoy sharing videos about it, don’t overthink it.

We are in 2021. If you have a smartphone, you can film videos. And from the same smartphone, you can also learn (for free!) how to be successful on YouTube: how to film and edit videos, how to market your channel, etc.

Kill your excuses!

By the way, we have a blog post that will teach you how to plan and schedule YouTube content: check it out to learn how to organize the videos that you will upload to your future channel.

Again, I’m not saying it is going to be easy, but I’m saying it is going to be worth it. Nobody can predict the future, but if you develop the ability to create engaging and relevant videos for your niche, your channel will likely succeed.

Should you buy a Youtube channel?

In my experience, the most difficult part of starting a YouTube channel is to get that initial 100 subscribers. After that, it also gets pretty tough to reach 1000 subscribers.

The growth is very slow at first and that can discourage you pretty quickly.

That’s why I think that buying a YouTube channel is the best way to start as a new youtuber. You get a channel that already has subscribers and views, and you can focus on growing from there.

To make money right from the beginning, make sure that the channel you buy is monetized.

Buying a YouTube account allows you to be far ahead in the game. Let someone else do the hard work for you!

What is monetization on YouTube?

What does “monetized” on YouTube mean? Well, it basically involves the ability to make money from your channel (mostly from ads).

To enable YouTube monetization, you need at least 1000 subscribers and 4000 watch hours. Once you hit that numbers, you can apply to the YouTube Partner Program.

You also have to sign up for Google AdSense (to make money from ads in your videos) and get reviewed by YouTube.

With a new channel, it will probably take many months until you reach the monetization requirements

If you have the time and are okay working for free for a while, you can start from scratch your YouTube channel and try to grow it the traditional way.

But I don’t recommend this since the likelihood of you quitting before even hitting 100 subscribers is very high. It is indeed discouraging to spend hours creating content that nobody watches.

guy working on projects

Is it legal to buy a YouTube channel?

Purchasing YouTube channels is legal and it doesn’t go against YouTube’s terms and conditions.

Furthermore, buying and selling YouTube accounts has become a pretty common practice among YouTubers.

Some channels are being sold for hundreds of thousands and even millions of dollars.

There are people who know the YouTube algorithm very well and dedicate themselves to build channels from scratch to sell them later on…

And some people don’t want to do YouTube anymore or simply lost their passion for their channel’s niche.

These people usually sell their accounts, and there is an immense demand for them.

There are even huge marketplaces to buy and sell YouTube channels

Long story short: you will not have any problems purchasing a YouTube channel. And it can help you tremendously to kickstart your journey as a YouTuber, since growing a YouTube channel from scratch (with 0 subscribers) can be challenging.

The opportunity to make videos for a YouTube channel that comes with engaged subscribers, willing to watch your videos and interact with your content can motivate you to go further.

And, if you wish, nothing stops you from selling that channel for a higher price once you made it very successful!

How much money does it cost to buy a YouTube channel?

Our monetized YouTube channels cost $439. You can get one of these channels with the flexibility to change the niche to whatever you want, with 0 copyright or community strikes and with 1000+ real subscribers and 4000+ watch hours.

The price of a YouTube channel will depend on many different factors. The number of subscribers and total video views are the most important indicators of the price you will going to pay, but it also depends on the niche, quality of content, and audience engagement.

What is your budget, and how much are you willing to spend? This will determine the type and quality of the YouTube channel that you are going to get and the traction you will have from the beginning.

You can also buy subscribers or purchase views to grow even further if you have the budget for it.

How to Create a Badass Content Marketing Strategy [Skyrocket Your Business Growth!]

A well-thought and actionable strategy is a crucial element to almost every aspect of a successful business. And it is the same with content marketing, which involves multiple processes that need to be planned. Without a content strategy, your growth will be notably hampered.

Stop procrastinating and learn today how to create an astonishing content marketing strategy to lead your business’ content creation efforts!

But first…

What is a content marketing strategy?

A content marketing strategy is basically a plan that describes how you will manage all the different moving pieces that creating content involves.

When you run a blog, a YouTube channel, an email list, and two profiles on social media, the amount of work that’s involved can become very overwhelming very fast, making it extra difficult to stay consistent.

Well, a content marketing strategy helps you to deal with that. Just pick a day or two to sit and plan for the content of, let’s say, three months.

Once you have created your plan, it is production time! I always recommend creating content in bulk. For example, if you own a YouTube channel, you can have film days where you focus on producing three or more videos in a row.

I talk about this in a blog post that you may find useful to effectively plan and schedule YouTube content.

A content marketing strategy needs to be aligned with the business goals for maximum results. If one of your main business goals is to raise awareness of a new brand, one of your content marketing strategy goals can be to focus heavily on content promotion to make the business reach more eyeballs.

Lastly, you have to keep in mind the audience’s needs. The best content is produced by people that have a clear understanding of their target audience. If you know the desires and problems of your public, you will know the content that best resonates with them.

Now with all of that out of the way, we can proceed to the fun part: the actual creation of the strategy!

How to create a content strategy

Content marketing audit

First things first, we want to answer a simple but powerful question: where am I now, regarding content?

There are five main metrics across all of your channels to track closely: acquisition, activation, retention, referral, and revenue. These metrics are the pillar of your business growth and will help you to know and better understand your customers and their buyer’s journeys.

Check all of these areas to identify problems with your content or your approach to content creation. Where can you improve?

  • Acquisition: What channels bring you new users? Are you making the most out of them?
  • Activation: This is the first contact of the customers with your product. How many people have a good experience? Why do bad experiences happen?
  • Retention: Do your customers come back? What percentage of them are you retaining and how many are you losing (and why)?
  • Referral: Are customers recommending your brand to friends and family? How can you create more brand advocates?
  • Revenue: What is the monetization model of your product? How can you increase revenue?

If you detect problems in the acquisition stage, for example, maybe you need to focus on fewer social media accounts to have a powerful presence on every profile you have, or maybe you need a team to help you.

Once you detect the problems, you can begin to think of solutions to incorporate them into your content marketing strategy and implement them ASAP.

Your content’s mission

This can sound a little bit of a cliche, but hear me out. It is very important to think about why you are creating content. It has to be more specific than “because every business is in social media”.

What’s the purpose of your content? To help people? To educate people? About what? Keep this mission statement top of mind every time you create content to establish a consistent brand image.

marketing strategy

Choose your goals wisely

At this stage, you have identified different content marketing problems and possible solutions. Now it is time to translate those into goals.

Always keep in mind your general business goals, and create very specific content marketing goals. Define success, and think about how you can measure it.

For example, success in your business right now can mean building awareness of a new brand (this is a general business goal). In the content marketing strategy, we will formulate a SMART goal like this (specific, measurable, attainable, realistic, and timely):

“By Dec 31, 2021, attract 500 new organic visitors to the website from social media each month”.

Select and track your KPIs

What metrics do you want to track? Define them by thinking about which metrics can measure the success of your strategy. In the example above, an obvious metric to track will be traffic sources.

On the other hand, which tools will you use to measure these metrics? And how will you create reports to understand if the strategy is working or needs an adjustment?

Don’t forget to track your metrics at least once a month (and more often, if you can). Keep them in a spreadsheet to identify patterns over time and to find out if you are reaching your goals.

Understand your target audience

And I don’t mean this on a superficial level. As a general rule: the more you know about them, the more successful your content marketing strategy will be because you will know what type of content creates engagement.

Build your buyer personas. Define and describe the different segments of your audience in a comprehensive way.  Which problems do they face, and what solutions do they search for? Where do they hang out, and what content do they like to consume?

It is important to consider these questions and not only the demographic data (although the demographics are super important too!). Segment your audience according to their behavior.

Types of content

According to your content’s mission, which messages do you wish to convey, and what language, tone and style will you use? The content has to be aligned with your purpose and values, and this way you will portray a consistent brand image across all your channels.

Another step to keep a consistent brand image is to think about the design side of things. How your content looks and its format has to communicate your brand image as well.

On the other hand, check the competitors’ content. How can you differentiate yourself from them? Your USP (unique selling point) can help to position your brand’s content from a new angle, different and more interesting to your audience.

Now that you have thought about your audience and its needs, it will be easier to think about the content types that will resonate better with that audience. Which channels do they use to consume content? Make sure your brand is present in the main ones.

#Bonus tip: fill the gaps with your content. If your audience is trying to solve a specific problem, what content do they search for and can’t find? Create valuable resources.

Content calendar

A content calendar answers a very specific question: when are you going to publish, to whom, and about what?

Decide your publishing frequency, and look at your content ideas list to begin the planning stage. If you don’t have one, start it now! In a document, notes app, or team management app that synchronizes across devices, it is easy to quickly jot down any ideas that strike you through the day, don’t matter where you are!

To streamline the whole process, look for holidays and special occasions in the month you are working on. Is there a specific date that you can leverage to create content? Also, keep an eye on trending topics.

Plan first the main pieces of content, and then the follow-up days. Are you running a content series? Schedule it as well.

You can organize this information in a spreadsheet (there are many templates online!). Simply distribute your content ideas throughout the month. Then, assign and allocate resources to make it happen.

If you have a team, designate the tasks to different members, and if you are a solopreneur, assign different days in your schedule to create, publish and promote the content.

Keyword research

Especially if you run a blog, keyword research is crucial to reach your ideal audience, because you target the search terms they use to find valuable content.

Do keyword research beforehand and attach the keywords you discover to your content calendar to simplify even more your content creation process.

content marketing

Distribution strategy

The publish and pray approach won’t get you very far. Think strategically about the places where you can promote your content. After all the hard work, you deserve to reach as many eyeballs as possible.

Selecting where to promote your content is a choice that has to be based on your target audience and where they hang out the most.

Social media is the first and most obvious choice. But with a little research, you can find influencers and key websites in your niche that get your content to a wider public.

Make a promotion checklist and be sure to complete it every time you publish a new piece of content.

Test, fix, and grow

The last step is an ongoing process. After every time you check the metrics to determine if the goals have been reached, you will have the opportunity to do more of what works, and less of what didn’t work.

If you have a significant drop or boost in your metrics, you can check what you published that day and see what caused it. On the other hand, remember that A/B testing is vital to understand what content resonates better with your audience. Always test and improve!

Your content marketing strategy is not set in stone. It should be evolving, a healthy sign that your business is changing for the better.

A content marketing strategy is a key component of content marketing in any successful business. And it doesn’t have to be complicated! With a little practice, you will get the hang of it and learn to efficiently plan, produce and promote your content.

Content marketing is a long-term game. Remember its key principle: the better you know your target audience, the more valuable content you are going to be able to produce for them.

Boost Your TikTok Growth: Key Things to Know for 2021

When it comes to TikTok growth, the platform has made several changes to help new creators thrive and reach new audiences. Looking to debunk some stereotypes of TikTok (like “it’s for younger people” and “the content is entertainment-only”) the platform now prioritizes new styles of videos.

Regardless of your niche, the focus on building a community, retaining your audience, and increasing your followers is a crucial formula for growth on any social media platform, including TikTok. Let’s reveal in this article how to grow on TikTok in 2021.

How to grow an account on TikTok

Identify your niche

To increase engaged followers, you have to first find a way to connect your unique personality with the content your target audience is interested in.

Choose 1-2 main themes for your content and stick with them. The people who follow you will follow you for these topics. If you have a TikTok account that focuses on educational business content, for example, your followers will expect that type of content from you.

That doesn’t mean you can’t innovate or experiment with new types of content, but stick with the main topic of your account for the most part. This will keep your audience engaged and interested, and you’ll retain them better.

Decide your content approach

On TikTok, usually content falls into one of three categories:

  • Original content: this type of content uses original sounds and visuals that aren’t super popular on the platform. As we explore in an article about TikTok monetization, the Creator Fund was launched to help this type of content thrive on the platform nowadays.

  • Trending content: utilizes popular hashtags and songs, as well as trending content like challenges that many people do. In other words, it is the typical “TikTok content”.

  • Promise-to-payoff content: With this structure, you make a promise at the beginning of the video and then deliver on that promise. This model keeps people engaged to watch until the end and it’s more commonly used for educational purposes.

What content structure will your target audience be more likely to engage with? What structure makes the most sense to your specific topic and niche?

The best videos on TikTok aren’t improvised, and just taking out your smartphone to film won’t usually do the trick. First, think about what the video will be about and outline the key things you want to convey. This will reduce the chances of you scattering and losing your audience’s interest.

Optimize your hashtags

On TikTok, very few people find content from a hashtag search. Hashtags are rather a categorization metric, which means that the hashtags you use tell the platform to which audience you want to distribute your content.

If your content is very specific, use hashtags that are relevant to the video. Likewise, if your content is broad, recur to hashtags that are broader as well.

Research competitors in your niche for more ideas: what hashtags are they using?

Master video timing

In any social media platform, the formula for success is the right content, in front of the right people at the right time. TikTok isn’t an exception.

Look in your account analytics (you must have a Pro Account to access the analytics on the platform) to discover the hours your audience is more active in. As a general rule, the most popular hours on the platform are in the evening (4-8 PM), but again this will depend on your audience.

On the other hand, don’t be so strict with this. Give yourself space to experiment and see what days and times work best for you and your account.

Keep that consistency!

A regular upload schedule is very important. A platform like TikTok requires you to publish at least 2-3 times per day to scale fast.

It can seem a bit overwhelming to produce that much content, but I urge you to at least try. Produce some videos in bulk, with an hour or two per day you will be surprised at what you can achieve if you outline your video ideas beforehand.

And by the way, if you want to quickly grow your account on the platform and start making money right away, you can buy a TikTok account with enabled monetization and save yourself the time and effort that requires to begin an account from scratch.

Understand video metrics

Video metrics are super important because they help you to understand why your videos work (or didn’t work).

On TikTok’s Analytics, “For You” shows you the percentage of your videos that appear in the “For You” section. These are videos shown to people that aren’t following you but that may be interested in your content.

Aim for a +75% of appearance in the For You section. This will help you to reach a wider audience and to expand the reach of your content, boosting your TikTok growth tremendously.

Keep an eye on “Watch Time” as well. This metric shows you how much time your audience watches your content before leaving. If your watch time is significantly low, it can mean that your content isn’t engaging or relevant enough.

Lastly, “Shares” is an important metric because if a user finds your content so relevant that interrupts their activities to share it, it means that you are doing great. Comments and Likes are also important, but a high number of Shares imply that your content is very engaging and valuable. Keep up the good work!

Limit inspiration sources

On TikTok, a platform designed to be addictive, it can be super easy to lose focus.

Follow a limited number of accounts when looking for inspiration and set a specific time frame to watch videos when looking for ideas. Otherwise, you can waste lots of time that you could have used to create more content.

To grow on TikTok you have to follow certain principles that are common in almost every social media platform: build a community of engaged followers and create valuable content relevant to your audience.

But the platform has some particularities that make growing a TikTok account different from growing an Instagram account or a YouTube channel. Follow the tips on this article and you’ll be on the right track to skyrocket your TikTok account in less time than you can imagine.

How to Monetize TikTok Videos [Profit Quickly From The Creator Fund!]

TikTok monetization has never been easier! A year ago, TikTok launched their Creator Fund, a program initially built to distribute +$200M to creators across the platform. It’s one of the top ways right now to make money on TikTok, by creating content that you love and by building a community of loyal followers.

Don’t miss out on this opportunity! If you haven’t joined the Creator Fund yet, you are in the right place. Today we are going to learn how to monetize a TikTok creator account.

Beforehand you need to know that monetizing a Tik Tok account takes a lot of time and effort, so if you are not willing to spend hours and hours building your account you could just buy an already approved Tik Tok monetized account.

Can TikTok be monetized?

Absolutely! There are several ways that you can generate revenue by using TikTok. Before the Creator Fund was launched, the platform was being used primarily to build an audience and then take it out of TikTok to monetize it.

But with the Creator Fund program, creators can make money directly from the platform. To be eligible to join the program you have to meet certain requirements, but once you do, you can begin to make money right away! The amount of profit you can make depends on several factors (your video views being the main one).

What is the creator fund on TikTok?

The Creator Fund is a strategic move from TikTok that rewards those who introduce new, original content to the platform. The ultimate goal is to attract new users and debunk some stereotypes related to TikTok.

TikTok has been demonized by some for being a platform for 15 years olds that promotes trending content for entertainment-only purposes.

With this in mind, niche and content style are vital elements to make a substantial profit out of your Creator Fund Account. The highest CPM in the platform (and therefore the highest paying content) is “professional” and educational content about finances, investing, and business in general.

The reason for this is simple: TikTok wants to attract a new type of audience who debunks the stereotypes discussed earlier about the platform.

Once you join, keep in mind that you will have more expectations regarding your content: after all, TikTok wants to maximize its ROI and get the most out of its money. Make sure that you are uploading original content that attracts new users, or your video views are going to fall.

How TikTok monetization works

As I was explaining above, once you meet certain criteria you can join the program. When you join, for each video you upload you have the potential to make money, depending on how well these videos do.

Even accounts with few followers have the potential to grow on TikTok these days. Thanks to the “For You” section, new users can be watched and scale quickly if they know how to produce creative, original content.

You have of course other ways to monetize your account, but these will work only if you have a large followers count. For example, sponsorships or brand deals are very common among influencers on the platform. You can also collect donations on live streams or promote your products and services through TikTok content.

But with the introduction of the Creator Fund program, you can make money directly from your videos without your followers being annoyed with the self-promo. Besides the way you choose to make money on TikTok, if you are serious about monetizing your TikTok creator account you need to switch to a Pro Account.

This is mainly because with a Pro Account you have access to useful analytics about your performance on the platform. It is crucial to your success that you learn to analyze metrics of engagement. You can grow your audience by understanding which content is the most relevant for your niche.

Tiktok Creator Fund Requirements

Some of the eligibility requirements are:

  • To be at least 18 years old.
  • To live in one of the following countries: US, UK, Italy, France, Germany or Spain.
  • To have at least 10,000 followers.
  • To have 100,000+ views in the last 30 days.

These are all the TikTok monetization criteria for the Creator Fund. Once you meet them, you will get an automatic notification from TikTok announcing that you are eligible for the program. You can also join from your Pro Account settings.

Once you join the Creator Fund, you will start to earn money according to the views and engagement on your videos, as long as you still meet the TikTok monetization criteria.

Help! Can I still monetize my TikTok creator account if I don’t meet the monetization requirements?

Of course! You have the following options: you can start a new TikTok account and grow it from scratch until you meet the monetization criteria. If you are from a country that isn’t on the list, don’t worry. TikTok announced that they are still developing the program and are looking to expand it to other countries. You can also choose a different monetization model.

You need to take into account that you need to respect the community guidelines and terms of service of TikTok, otherwise you’d be banned.

And if you want to make money right away? There is also an option for you.

You can buy a TikTok account that meets all the requirements, and start profiting from it today (without starting from scratch or waiting for the program to be available in your country). Our TikTok accounts for sale will allow you to start making money with the Creator Fund today.

Keep in mind that the only way this can work long-term is by being very strategic about the content you upload and distribute. The Creator Fund only rewards the accounts that bring considerable traffic and new eyeballs to the platform.

How to embed a YouTube channel on your website

YouTube is one of the largest video platforms with millions of active users worldwide. So it doesn’t surprise that many websites and business owners use it for commercial purposes. You can advertise your brand, display your products, or share tutorials and opinions on different subjects. One of the most appealing benefits is that you can transform the effort placed in creating videos to benefit your website. You can embed a YouTube channel URL on your website and double your potential without doubling your effort. As a result, this will allow you to grow your audience and increase traffic on both ends.

Common ways to embed a YouTube channel on your website

Besides being one of the largest video platforms, YouTube is also among the largest social media platforms. Its common daily use makes it applicable for marketing purposes. By embedding your channel on your website, a large percentage of your visitors will become subscribers. And vice versa – a part of your subscribers will surely take time to check out your website.

To ensure you do it properly, we’ll discuss a few ways that can help you embed your YouTube channel on your website. But first, let’s see why this is important.

Why should you embed a YouTube Channel on a website?

By creating video content, you provide your audience with additional media to help them digest your offer. This is especially helpful for industries that are typically not revolving around this kind of content. By investing in this, you can easily stand out among your competitors. But that’s not the only reason. Videos on your website are often very effective for promotion:

  • A YouTube channel has great potential to improve your SEO.
  • It may increase the engagement of your audience.
  • Videos provide more detailed descriptions of your products or services.
  • You can show the practical appliance of your product.
  • You can increase your website’s visibility and brand awareness.

On the other side, you can maximize and use the marketing potential of your site to improve your Youtube channel as well. The embedding process is not even that complex. Of course, if you don’t have the knowledge, you will need professional help to embed and maintain it on your website. But if you do have some, you can use one of many tools to complete embedding yourself.

Now that you understand the potential, it’s time to see how to embed code to a YouTube channel.

How to embed a YouTube channel on your website 1

Embed a YouTube channel with plugins

If you have a WordPress website, using plugins is the most efficient way to embed your already successful YouTube channel. With all the tasks the plugins will complete for you, this will be a semi-automated process that requires no coding knowledge. In just a few minutes, you’ll be able to display your channel on your website.

Some of the best plugins for embedding

Depending on the plugin, the options are many. You can display your youtube channel, anything from a single video to playlists to the entire channel. Some even allow you to auto-embed live stream. Here are some of the best plugins for video embedding:

  • Feeds for YouTube
  • YourChannel
  • WP YouTube Lyte
  • Video Gallery
  • Feed Them Social
  • YotuWP
  • ARVE – Advanced Responsive Video Embedder

Most of them are beginner-friendly, so you don’t have to be a WordPress expert to use them.

How to configure and install plugins

To ensure your plugins work, first, you need to get something called a YouTube API key. This is necessary, so your plugin can interact with YouTube. You will also need your username or your channel ID. You can get your channel ID from the URL of your channel:

  • – the bold part of the URL is your channel ID.

For the sake of explanation, we’ll use Feeds for YouTube – plugin. Here are the steps:

  • Go to Plugins>Add New and find the desired plugin
  • Install and activate
  • Go to the plugin settings page to configure it
  • Connect your channel by logging in
  • Enter your YouTube API key to unlock all feed types
  • Choose your feed type and customize it
  • Save the changes and copy the shortcode from the bottom of the setting page.
  • Paste the shortcode code directly into the post, page, or widget where you want to display the feed.

And that’s it – everything is ready to draw traffic to your website. You can additionally experiment with customization until you find the desired layout. The best part is, like most plugins, this doesn’t require any HTML, CSS, or JavaScript knowledge.

How to embed a YouTube channel on your website 2

Alternate embedding method

There is another method to embed a YouTube channel on your website. However, this method is not nearly as convenient as with plugins.

You can manually embed a YouTube player using the iframe tag (<iframe>). Or, you can embed the player by using IFrame Player API. This method, however, requires decent coding knowledge so you can specify player parameters appropriately. The point is, you will need to know how and where to copy code snippets. And be able to modify them so you can customize the player. The biggest downside of this method is that you have to embed each video separately – which can be pretty time-consuming. Or, you can embed a playlist. Anything more than that is exceptionally complicated for an average user. But if you must do it this way, make sure to find a professional so you don’t accidentally break your website.

computer on a table

A website is an excellent way to promote your business, services, and products. But video material allows potential clients to visualize your offer and connect on a deeper level. And if you take this immense potential and place it on your website directly, it will surely enhance your business. When you embed a YouTube channel on your website, you benefit both platforms. One will send your existing subscribers to your website and increase its traffic, while the other will allow regular website visitors to engage more through video material.

Are you consistent on YouTube? Learn a strategy to organize and schedule future videos

It’s not a secret anymore that planning and scheduling YouTube videos in advance is essential for reaching success in the platform.

The reasons are straightforward: if you have a few backup videos ready ahead of time, you’ll rarely lose consistency in your upload schedule.

Furthermore, establishing a place to store all your ideas for future content will help you immensely. You’ll be able to make more efficient use of your time since you won’t have to come up with ideas in a rush before filming.

Lastly, we’re going to discuss content calendars and how to schedule content for each month.

Planning is essential for success. Ready to discover the main principles to plan, organize and schedule your videos to be ahead of the game?

Let’s begin!

Planning and Organizing YouTube Videos: Step by Step Process

To initiate the brainstorming session, open a new document or your notes app (pen and paper if you are the analogic type!) and begin to jot down some ideas.

If you struggle to come up with ideas, think of 3-5 main keywords that describe your channel. Then, think of video ideas for each one.

Remember to keep your eyes open to ideas to film video series!

You can also search popular videos or channels in your niche and see what they’re doing.

By studying your competitors you’ll know their weaknesses (as well as their strengths) and therefore, you’ll also figure out how to make better videos that rank higher!

Lastly, you’ll want to refine that giant list of ideas. Remove the ideas without potential, and also erase the repetitive or too similar ones.

#Bonus tip: It’s important for SEO purposes that you run your ideas somewhere (TubeBuddy is a great tool, Google Trends, and YouTube search suggestions are some free alternatives) and tweak keywords in the video ideas for better rankings. You’ll want, if possible, to target low competition, high search volume keywords!

After all that hard work, you have now a list with a decent number of future video ideas.

Believe me when I say that a list like this will help your channel (and your sanity!) tremendously.

Make sure to keep an eye on your videos’ comment section for suggestions that come straight up from your audience (that’ll also help you to know them better!)

Since your ideas have to be things that people actually look for or want to see, doing keyword research and knowing your audience are awesome tools to get the best chances of increasing views and attract eyeballs.

This list of ideas can become very big and confusing, so, extra points if you organize it in a spreadsheet in different categories!

Plan the upcoming month

Now that you’re equipped with a solid list of ideas, you can start to properly plan.

The way you choose to organize your content is totally personal, but I’ll explain to you a simple system that works like a charm.

I love tools like Asana or Trello to organize content for YouTube, because you can move and drag things around, reorganizing them with huge flexibility. I generally keep a few lists to organize the content creation process. These are the ones I use:

  • Video ideas
  • June (or whatever month)
  • Outline
  • Film
  • Edit
  • Completed

Once you create these lists, transfer your video ideas to the “video ideas” list. Drag some of these ideas to the month list, according to the videos you want to film in that specific month.

Next, you’ll drag those videos to the other lists as you complete each task. When you outline a video, you move it to the “outline” list; once you filmed it, you drag it on the “film” list, and so on.

You can replicate this process in different Word documents or even in a spreadsheet if not a great fan of the tools I mentioned.

This system allows you to see at a glance where you are in the creative process, what it’s left to do, and what your progress looks like.

You can plan from a few weeks to 6 months ahead, it depends on your style and flexibility needs!

Maintain a few videos ready to publish will ensure that you can still upload even if you’ve had a bad week and were not able to film. Work on that consistency!

Schedule your videos and create a content calendar

For this step, you can use a calendar tool like Google Calendar, or simply create a content calendar in a spreadsheet.

The idea is to schedule, firstly, the day you are going to publish each video idea that you have in the “month” list.

#Bonus tip: schedule the specific hour you want to upload as well. In YouTube Studio, you can see your audience’s analytics and find out the best days and hours to publish your content (based on their activity). Schedule to upload just before the peak time for maximum effect!

Use color coding at your advantage: make the film, edit and publish days a different color, to see at a glance which activities you have to do each week to reach your goals.

I recommend filming and editing in bulk to be more focused and productive. In one single day, you can film 2-3 videos, and then another day edit them before the upload date. Our brains respond so much better to a single activity, rather than the pressure of switching tasks way too frequently.

Outline and script your video

Did you know that outlines are vital to increasing your watch time and audience retention?

A good video structure will prevent you from simply turn on the camera and start talking. If you do that every time you film a video, you’re risking being repetitive, slow, and scattered.

Because let’s be real, people don’t have time to watch someone talk for 30 min about something that can be said in 8 min.

Having a script or a simple outline will make your filming and editing much more efficient.

If you are talking to the camera directly I don’t recommend a full script, because it will sound unnatural, like you’re reading.

But a simple outline to follow along (with the content divided into different headers and a few key points below each) will ensure you don’t lose track while talking, keeping it straight and to the point.

Follow these steps and your channel’s consistency will be on-point. You’ll also be less stressed about meeting your deadlines if you have a few videos ready to publish beforehand.

Foresight and planning skills are a big key to success in any business. Treat your channel seriously, and you will get the results that you are looking for!

YouTube SEO: How to Optimize your Videos to Get More Views

YouTube is a search engine (just like Google) and most SEO factors that impact the ranking of a webpage also impact how your videos rank in YouTube.

You must understand and apply SEO best practices for YouTube to increase your likelihood of success in the platform.

Because if you rank higher on YouTube, more people will find your content.

And if it’s valuable and high-quality enough, chances are your views will blow up and subscriptions will increase exponentially over time.

That’s why in this blog post we’ll cover SEO best practices to rank higher and get more views in 2021. Follow our tips and you will grow faster and faster with each video you upload.

You can also apply this advice to videos you already have in your channel and optimize each one to ensure higher rankings in YouTube search.

How to get more views and grow your YouTube channel: SEO fundamentals

We will divide this article into two main parts, the pillars of YouTube SEO: optimization and performance.

Optimization means strategically research and plan the keywords you are going to use for each video. It also means to use these keywords in different parts: your title, description, tags, etc.

On the other hand, performance refers to things that happen after your video goes live: the engagement it receives, where and how much it’s shared, etc.

Optimize your videos and rank higher on YouTube

Boost your CTR

Here we want (without being clickbait!) to make our title and thumbnail catchy and intriguing –they need to be enticing enough to be almost impossible to not click on them.

But how do we do that?

Well, it starts by knowing your viewers: if you know who’s watching you (a.k.a. your target audience) chances are that you’re going to know how to communicate with them in a way that’s appealing and persuasive.

A tip for the title: use [brackets] or (parentheses). Inside them, include a sneak peek of what the video contains, to make it super catchy.

For example: How to Build Backlinks to increase your SEO Authority [2021 Step-by-Step Linkbuilding Guide]

To go a step further, analyze the titles of other videos on the topic you want to upload. Then, figure out a way to craft a title that’s more appealing and eye-catching.

Pay attention to your tags

With the new changes YouTube made to the algorithm in 2021, tags aren’t a super important part of SEO anymore. However, it continues to be a valuable ranking factor to consider.

These changes to the algorithm were made due to people abusing tags and stuffing their videos with them. Something very similar happened in one of Google’s algorithm update, where they become less focused on keywords and more focused on user search intention.

It’s a great idea to learn from this and make sure you are using tags correctly, without overdoing it.

I recommend that the first 2-3 tags are your main target keyword and a few variations of it.

For example:

  • linkbuilding strategies
  • linkbuilding guide
  • linkbuilding tutorial

The next 2-3 tags will be synonyms of that main keyword:

  • backlinks
  • backlinks technique

The last 2-3 tags will be broad categories that your target topic falls within. For example:

  • SEO
  • search ranking
  • web traffic

And that’s all you need! Choose your tags smartly if you can, analyzing the value of each one with a keyword research tool (we’ll talk about this below).

Have you thought about the suggested videos section?

You can rank here as well –don´t let these potential views go to waste!

YouTube suggests videos accordingly to what you tend to watch and/or what you’ve watched in the past, and accordingly to the video you’re watching at that moment.

So, if a person is watching a video on the same topic that yours, it is a good idea to heighten the chances that your video appears in that person’s suggested section.

But how do you do that?

Well, a good tip is to find a few very popular videos on your exact topic if possible, and assess the keywords they use.

You can use some of the same. YouTube will know from these keywords that your video can pair well to expand on the topic of the popular videos you found before and will suggest yours to that audience.

Thus, you’ll have more chances of your channel showing in the recommended section!

Optimize the video description

I’m tired of seeing videos with a single-word description. Those days are over.

You need to write a good description (150+ words at the very least) that sound like you were talking to another fellow human. So, no keyword stuffing, please!

Instead, use your main keyword in the first 2-3 sentences. Next, you can sprinkle these and other related keywords into the body of the text.

Make sure your description is engaging and fun to read as well.

Bonus tip: find keywords with high potential

You’ll love this tip.

First, head to the analytics on YouTube Studio and click traffic sources > search.

There, you will see the keywords that people use to find your videos. Chances are that you’re aware of some of these keywords because you were using them intentionally to rank your videos.

But if you dig deep enough, you’ll find keywords that you rank for accidentally.

Since these keywords already bring people to your channel, why don’t use them to optimize your videos or to create new content targeting these keywords, capitalizing on them?

Another great tip is that you invest in a tool like TubeBuddy. It has, among other functionalities, a keyword research tool.

TubeBuddy will tell you if a certain keyword is worth pursuing based on the competition and the search volume of that keyword. The ideal situation is to find keywords that have low competition and high search volume. It’s like finding a gold mine!

Work on performance to strengthen the channel

Boost engagement signals

Engagement signals include likes, comments, shares, etc. Basically, represents how the people who watch your videos engage (or not) with your content.

There are a few things that you can do to boost them.

For example, make your videos easy to comment on. Instead of vaguely ask your audience at the end of each video to drop a comment, make them a close question or a little survey.

Like, “what of these strategies was your favorite? Tell us in a comment down below”.

People love to interact, but (generally) not to think. If they have to come up with a long well-thought answer, probably they don’t going to bother to comment. Makes sense, right?

Another great tip is to give people a reason to subscribe. A very popular way to doing this is telling something like “subscribe so you don’t miss on great future content like this!”

If you want to expand more on this topic, you can learn with this guide how to build a strong channel to boost your subscriptions.

Embed your videos

Really. Embed them in your blog posts, your website, in guest posts or press releases, etc.

This is another ranking factor on YouTube, and signals to the algorithm that your videos have authority on the internet.

Increase your watch time

A big ranking factor on YouTube is watch time: the total amount of hours a video has been watched.

This metric is not the same as audience retention, which indicates the percentage of a video that people see before leaving.

An increase in watch time signals to YouTube that people find your content useful and valuable, and your videos will rank higher.

If they keep watching, they’re enjoying it!

To achieve that, make sure to plan, script, and outline your videos before filming them. That will give you a clear structure to follow, so you won’t get lost or ramble (when that happens, people leave quickly!)

If you want to dig deeper on this topic, we have a great blog post on planning and organizing YouTube content for you to learn more.

Lastly, make sure your videos aren’t static. Include different camera angles, different shots, music, and animations to keep your video fluid and fun to watch.

Promote strategically

The upload and preach strategy won’t get you very far.

Make sure that you’re promoting extensively every new video you upload.

Get creative: you can promote on social media, to your email list, in your blog posts, even on sites like Reddit and Quora (without being spammy, of course).

You want the chance to capture as many eyeballs as possible. YouTube will interpret this as your video being very valuable and will reward you with higher rankings.

Doing YouTube SEO will help you to increase the possibilities of success on your channel, and will ultimately lead to more views, as you get higher and higher on rankings.

This doesn’t have to be complicated. As you saw through this article, paying attention to a few tips will get you far.

Now, the only thing you need to do is to take action. What of these tips are you going to try first? Tell us in the comments 🙂
